As noted, in the Lenin, Soviet and Industrial District Courts of Vladikavkaz on April 21 several cases of administrative offenses were examined “in respect of detained participants in an unauthorized rally on April 20, 2020.”

“Depending on the committed illegal act, administrative penalties were imposed in the form of administrative arrest for a period of three to 15 days,” the report said.

At the moment, decisions are made in 14 cases. 

The site of the regional government says that the operational situation in the republic is stable and is under full control.

“Thanks to the implementation of additional measures, an appropriate level of public law and order and the safety of citizens of North Ossetia-Alania has been ensured,” the report said.

They noted that the presidency of the head of North Ossetia, Vyacheslav Bitarov, held a working meeting, during which it emphasized "the importance of strengthening outreach to the population and said that the effectiveness of measures directly depends on the coordinated actions of executive authorities, local self-government, civil society institutions ".

On April 20, a “people's gathering” took place in Vladikavkaz, as the organizers called the demonstration. The protesters called for the abolition of the regime of self-isolation. According to various sources, from 300 to 4000 participants gathered on Freedom Square.

In the Kremlin, commenting on the action, they said that it was illegal, but most importantly, the accumulation of such a number of people can have negative consequences from an epidemiological point of view.
