He explained that “when ordering a taxi, you do not need to enter a digital pass (code),” the taxi driver will check the pass using the “Moscow Assistant” application.
“We specifically modified the program to verify the validity of the code. You get in the car, show the pass to the driver, the application checks it. If the code is valid, you are going to the destination, ”RIA Novosti quoted RIA Novosti as saying.
He also recalled that on the way the police can stop the car and check if all passengers have a pass.
“They will verify the route indicated in the code and the taxi route. In the event of a discrepancy, they will issue you a fine, ”Pronin added.
Starting April 15, a special digital pass will be required to travel on all types of personal and public transport in Moscow and the Moscow Region.
Taxi drivers will receive their digital pass and will be required to check the pass with passengers.
The Moscow Department of Transport reported that taxi drivers who do not check digital passes for passengers in Moscow or violate the declared travel route will be disconnected from the aggregators.
