The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has put together a draft operational policy for the ``ride-sharing'' service, which will be introduced in April and will allow regular drivers to use their own cars to transport people for a fee. In addition to asking taxi companies that manage operations to understand the work status of their drivers, the company said it would do so without responding.

It has been decided that "ride sharing" will be introduced from April in limited areas, with the condition that taxi companies will manage the operation, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced at a meeting with experts held on the 7th. We presented a draft of the operational policy.

According to this, in order to avoid any trouble between regular drivers and customers, the departure and arrival destinations and fares will be confirmed at the time of reservation, and payments will be made cashless in principle.

In addition, to ensure safety, the taxi companies that manage the operations have a system of training and guidance similar to that of professional drivers, and if regular drivers are doing other jobs so that driving is not hindered, We are asking you to know your working hours.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will specify the regions and time periods in which ride sharing is applicable based on data from ride-hailing apps.

This proposal was approved by experts at a meeting on the 7th, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will solicit opinions from the public and make a formal decision by the end of March.
