During 2023,

3,700 taxi drivers in the Community of Madrid connected to Cabify

and made at least one trip, formalizing an alliance between both mobility giants.

This was highlighted yesterday by Cabify itself, after releasing in a statement the main data related to its collaboration with the taxi sector in the last year in the region.

In 2014, Cabify opened the first collaboration with the taxi sector in its mobile application, becoming the first mobility platform to offer this option to its users, and in 2019 this cooperation was reinforced with the relaunch, where the taxi expanded its

importance within the platform

and the cities with this service increased.

Madrid continues to be the city with the highest volume of Cabify collaborating taxi drivers in Spain, with a wide difference over the rest, since, in 2023,

3,700 taxi drivers made more than 800,000 trips

through the application, making the Spanish platform one of the most requested in the sector.

Thanks to these trips, taxi drivers connected to Cabify invoiced

12.5 million euros net

, already discounting the platform's commission, which varies from 5% to 25%, depending on the time, day and connection volume of the taxi driver. with the application.

Thus, in 2023, those 100 taxis that used the Cabify application the most earned an average of 27,000 euros net annually, which represents

an extra income of 2,250 euros net monthly

, which is added to their earnings by show of hands or on trips in enabled stops, while 30% of the taxi drivers who collaborated with the company earned 10,000 euros net.

On the other hand, according to a survey carried out by the Spanish platform among

more than 600

collaborating taxi drivers, these professionals have progressively improved their perception of the company as they connect to the application.

In this sense, nine out of 10 collaborating taxi drivers are satisfied with the Cabify service

, 78% have improved their perception

of the company and 90% recognize that their income has increased thanks to the application.

Beyond the economic benefits, other reasons such as digitalization or security are among the highlights of their collaboration with the app. 60% of taxi drivers say

they feel safer with Cabify than with freehand trips

, compared to 38% who say they feel equally safe and 2% who feel less safe.

Despite the positive results of fiscal year 2023 for collaborating taxi drivers, there is a wide margin for the sector

to have invoiced 10 or 12 times more

, considering the volume of demand for trips on the platform.

Taxi drivers who work with Cabify can continue providing their own services on the street or with other apps; they access technology that allows them to reach millions of users; They have

24-hour customer service

, seven days a week; they receive weekly payment from the income generated; and they have the trip located via GPS and the passenger's identification at all times.
