A man in his fifties, suspected of having raped the girls of his partner, was arrested and placed in police custody Sunday in the Gard, learned 20 Minutes this Monday from Eric Maurel, the prosecutor of the Republic of Nîmes.
An investigation has been opened. According to the explanations reported to the investigators by the victims, now aged 12 and 16, the facts were filmed.
The suspect is already known to the justice system: this 50-year-old, who has served his sentence, had been sentenced in the past to 15 years in prison for rape.
