The Fujairah Appeals Court heard, at its session yesterday, the pleading of the Appeals Prosecution in the case of a Gulf mother, accused of causing the death of seven of her children by mistake, and negligence as a result of a fire that broke out in her home two years ago, and the court acquitted her, while the prosecution demanded that the maximum punishment be imposed on the mother, On charges of negligence that led to the death of her seven children. The prosecution said in its pleading that "the seven victims who were left by the mother are wrestling with death by burning and strangling. Today we address you in the name of their father, who died before them. The tragic accident occurred as a result of the mother's negligence on the lives of her children, and as a result of her violation of the duties imposed on her by motherhood."

"We see that the mother is from the category of those whose dreams have been overlooked, and they see in the light only darkness, when she left her children at 10 pm, neither she nurtured them, nor left the matter of their care to others, which caused their death because of the negligence that led to their killing, and the accused committed The crime is subject to registration and description. ”And she emphasized,“ When we authorized you this crime, we would not have said unjustly or oppressed anyone, then this is not our message. ».

The prosecution requested the appeal to impose the maximum punishment on the accused, and to accept the appeal in form. The court panel allowed the civil defense lawyer to present his case at the next session.

At the end of the session, the court decided to postpone the case to a later session, in order to complete the case sessions.

A fire broke out in January 2018 at a house in the Rolla area against us in the Emirate of Fujairah, resulting in the death of seven children, four girls, including two twin children, and three boys, who ranged between five and 15 years old, as a result of suffocation of smoke resulting from the fire.
