Three young

children died in a

fire

last night in the Italian town of

Bologna

(north), while their mother died while being taken to the hospital, firefighters reported this Friday.

The woman, 32 years old and of Romanian origin, and her children,

two one-year-old twins and another under 6 years old,

succumbed to the fire that broke out in an apartment on the outskirts of the city, despite the intervention. of emergency health services, in addition to firefighters and police.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, although the first hypotheses suggest that it could have been a short circuit caused by an electric stove, according to the same sources, cited by local media.

The apartment has been placed under judicial isolation while investigations are carried out to reconstruct in detail the origin of the fire, into which the prosecutor's office has already opened an investigation.
