Among the stories of about 13,000 children who died as martyrs in the Israeli occupation war on the Gaza Strip, comes the story of the four brothers, sons of Musa Qandil, whose father was arrested by the occupation, and whose mother remained ignorant of their fate for 44 days before learning of the news of their martyrdom in an Israeli bombing.

The four children are Yamen (8 years old), the twins Kenan and Orchid (6 years old), and Carmel (3 years old). They were all martyred in the Al-Satar Al-Sharqi area in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Their mother, who was not with them, says that she remained 44 days unaware of their fate after the occupation army entered their house and arrested their father, while her children remained trapped in the house with their grandmother.

She adds that all her appeals to humanitarian organizations such as the Red Cross, Red Crescent, and the United Nations were of no use in finding out the fate of her children.

Later, the children’s mother wrote that she learned that her children were martyred in an occupation bombing that targeted their house, and that their bodies have been still under the rubble of the house for more than 3 months, because the occupation prevents them from approaching the house.

While Muslims around the world look forward to the last ten days of Ramadan, Gazans are anticipating the end of the Israeli war, which has been going on for about 175 days and claimed the lives of more than 32,000 martyrs, in addition to about 75,000 wounded.
