11 November 201922.08 Two Armenian Catholic priests were killed in northwestern Syria in an ambush claimed by the 'Islamic State' in the district of Busayra, in the region of Dar ar-Zor, under the control of the Kurdish-Syrian forces. The ArmenPress agency reported. The two, father and son, accompanied by a deacon, were on their way to verify the restoration work of the Armenian Catholic church in the area when they ended up in an ambush on the road that joins Hasakeh to Dar ar-Zor. The deacon was wounded.
