To improve pediatric surgical care worldwide, the 6th World Congress of Pediatric Surgery continues its work in the Qatari capital of Doha, with the participation of nearly 800 surgeons from more than 80 countries; the World Federation of Pediatric Surgeons Associations has been organizing the conference every three years since 2004.

Dr. Sanjeev Dutta, Associate Professor of Pediatric Surgery at Stanford University, Head of Innovation at Johnson and Johnson, sees Africa and Asia as one of the geographic regions with the greatest healthcare challenges, saying this is everyone's responsibility and must be united to eliminate them.

Dutta said in an interview with Al Jazeera Net, that the establishment of the conference in the State of Qatar came in order for doctors from Asia and Africa to participate, calling for the need to intensify efforts to reach the best medical practices in the field of surgery to all over the world.
