Sheikh Tamim visits the Qatar Web Summit 2024 held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (The Amiri Diwan)

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, visited the Al Jazeera Network’s pavilion at the Web Summit, which began in Doha - Monday evening - and whose activities will continue until the end of February 29.

During his visit, in which he was accompanied by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the Emir was briefed on the details of Al Jazeera Media Network’s participation in the conference and the idea of ​​designing the network’s pavilion, inspired by the island’s famous visual identity of the Pearl, in addition to training workshops. Which is scheduled to be presented during the conference days.

The Prince also visited the pavilions of a number of major participating international companies specialized in the technology sector, and was briefed on the latest developments in the field of innovation, digital initiatives and electronic software.

Al Jazeera Network is considered a media partner for the Web Summit and participates through its various teams, especially the digital sector, the corporate identity sector, the technology sector, and the Al Jazeera Media Institute.

It is noteworthy that the State of Qatar is hosting the first edition of the Web Summit in the Middle East and Africa, attracting thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and leaders of the technology sector in the world.
