Farewell Rafiq Zayed .. The departure of Mr. Abdullah Al-Hashemi

Al-Hashimi, nicknamed “Mr. Oud”, represents a brilliant model for citizens who work in silence and make their years of life in giving, carrying within them slogans of humiliation and work with honesty, sincerity and dedication.

Mr. Al Hashimi, a descendant of the Bani Hashem tribe, grew up in a great family, whose people have a special and well-known status in jurisprudence and religion in the UAE. He grew up in a religious and scientific environment and was apprenticed by his father, Judge Mohammed Al Hashimi, in Al Ain. Disagreements through his uncle who was serving in Abu Dhabi, which made him aware of the jurisprudence and law as much as convince people, despite the fact that he learned science orally in the traditional way in the book.

Since its inception, the late rulers of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi have accompanied the Emirate to enter a new phase of development at all levels, after the discovery of oil, was one of the emirate's loyal men.

During the reign of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, Al-Hashemi served as his personal companion, then he was appointed Director of the Special Department.He was the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of the personal work of the late, during the period from 1966 to 2004, in terms of managing palaces. In addition to this task, he oversaw a number of reconstruction and construction projects undertaken by Sheikh Zayed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and a number of other emirates, as well as pilgrimage and Umrah projects that were carried out at Sheikh Zayed's expense.

Hashemi was known to work silently and diligently, honesty, sincerity, firmness, commitment, initiative and dedication in performing tasks and fulfilling work.

In 2017, Al Hashimi was crowned with the Abu Dhabi Award, sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to honor people who have contributed to their charitable work in the service of society, and have provided great works and services to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
