According to TASS, the press service indicated that on September 11–12, the 2014 bus passed scheduled maintenance, and an experienced driver was driving it.

“At the time of a head-on collision with a wagon that entered the oncoming lane, the speed of the PAZ did not exceed the permissible speed in this section and amounted to 53 km / h. The driver was a first-class driver with 12 years of experience in the branch of a motor transport enterprise, ”the regional government said.

The press service emphasized that the bus driver regularly underwent medical examinations, including annual, as a result of which no contraindications for further work were identified.

On September 14, a collision between a bus and a truck occurred in the Yaroslavl region. According to the latest data, 29 people were injured in the incident, and seven more were killed.

The Governor of the Yaroslavl region Dmitry Mironov expressed condolences in connection with the incident.
