Beware of scams on donations for rebuilding

The websites that try to take advantage of donations for the reconstruction of the cathedral are also growing. An investigation for "organized gang scam" was opened Friday. According to the prosecutor's office, these "salesmen" called out charitable souls to believe that they would contribute to the reconstruction of the cathedral, except that the transfer went directly to their account.

In a statement released Friday, the Heritage Foundation said for its part have denounced the Paris prosecutor and Google a fraudulent site that takes the main terms of his Internet address. "The following site is fraudulent: https://donfondation-patrimoine-sauvonsnotredame.weebly.com/", says this release. Four organizations (Notre Dame Foundation, Fondation du Patrimoine, Fondation de France and the National Museums Center) are officially responsible for collecting donations for reconstruction.
