  French Interior Minister Darmanin announced the relevant information about the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on behalf of the officials that day.

He said that the number of ticket-holding spectators at the opening ceremony was approximately 320,000, of which 100,000 spectators entered by purchasing tickets and 220,000 spectators entered by obtaining free tickets.

In addition to ticket holders, about 200,000 people can watch the opening ceremony in buildings and other locations around the Seine.

  According to information previously announced by the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee, the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games will be held in the Seine River and areas along the river, and will no longer be limited to stadiums.

Tens of thousands of athletes will arrive via boat across the Seine.

Although the size of the audience is smaller than previously expected, if the opening ceremony is held smoothly according to the Seine plan, it will undoubtedly be an unprecedented event.

  Paris Olympic security officials revealed on the 5th that a total of 180 boats will enter along the Seine River at the opening ceremony, 94 of which will carry athletes.

According to the current arrangement, the starting point for athletes entering the opening ceremony by boat is the Austerlitz Bridge and the end point is the Jena Bridge near the Eiffel Tower. Along the way, they will pass famous attractions such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Grand Palais.

  Darmanin also announced some security details for the opening ceremony.

The area within a 150-kilometer radius around Paris will close its airspace from 7:00 to midnight on the night of the opening ceremony on July 26. Operations at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly Airport, Le Bourget Airport and Beauvais Airport around Paris will be affected.

  Darmanin also said that based on the information collected so far, there is no specific terrorist threat to the Paris Olympics.
