  600 kilometers per hour, the speed of China!

  On July 20, Qingdao, Shandong, my country's 600 kilometers per hour high-speed maglev transportation system officially rolled off the assembly line.

  In order to master the key technology of high-speed maglev, with the support of the "13th Five-Year" National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Advanced Rail Transit Key Special Project, organized by CRRC and led by CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd., brings together more than 30 domestic maglev and high-speed rail fields. Universities, research institutes and enterprises "production, study, research and application" jointly launched the research and development of a high-speed maglev transportation system with a speed of 600 kilometers per hour.

The project was launched in October 2016, a test prototype was developed in 2019, and it was successfully tested on the test line of Tongji University in Shanghai in June 2020. After system optimization, the final technical plan was determined, and a complete system was developed in January 2021. And started a six-month joint debugging and joint test.

  So far, it took 5 years to tackle key problems, successfully conquered key core technologies and achieved major breakthroughs.

The project independently developed 5 sets of high-speed maglev engineered trains with a speed of 600 kilometers per hour.

Developed a new head type and aerodynamic scheme, developed a lightweight and high-strength car body, and mastered the manufacturing technology of key core components.

Completed the independent research and development of the high-speed maglev traction power supply system.

A high-speed maglev control system suitable for automatic tracking operation of the Changjiang-Dalian trunk line has been established.

Developed a new type of track beam.

Innovate in system integration to enable high-speed maglev to meet the needs of multiple scenarios and adapt to complex geographic and climatic environments.

At present, the 600 kilometers per hour high-speed maglev transportation system has completed the integration and system joint debugging.

  The high-speed maglev off the assembly line this time adopts mature and reliable normal conduction technology. The basic principle is to use electromagnetic attraction to make the train levitate on the track to achieve non-contact operation.

It has the technical advantages of high efficiency, fast, safe and reliable, strong transportation capacity, flexible marshalling, comfortable on time, convenient maintenance, and green environmental protection.

As a high-speed transportation mode, high-speed maglev can become one of the effective ways of high-speed and high-quality travel, enriching my country's comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network.

Focusing on engineering and industrialization, CRRC Sifang has established a system-wide simulation and test platform, and built a localized industrial chain.

  As an international cutting-edge technology, high-speed maglev is a major "commanding height" in the world's rail transit field and a strategic high ground for global transportation technology competition.

Many countries have followed different technical routes for long-term continuous research and development, and built or planned test and operation routes.

High-speed maglev, as a key cutting-edge technology, has been included in my country’s "Outline for the Construction of a Powerful Transportation Country", and the "Outline of the National Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Network Planning" also proposes to study and promote the layout of high-speed maglev channels and the construction of test routes.

With the advent of a high-speed maglev transportation system with a speed of 600 kilometers per hour, my country has the conditions to further advance the line test and engineering test demonstration.

Through the construction of high-speed test lines, high-speed line tests and operation demonstrations can lay a solid foundation for the development of my country's high-speed maglev industrialization.
