It is noted that in the absence of new significant challenges for the largest industries and the population, the dynamics of Russia's GDP in 2023 may turn out to be better than assumed in the baseline scenario of the Central Bank.

The head of the Russian Ministry of Finance, Anton Siluanov, said that the volume of the Russian budget deficit in 2023 will not exceed the target of 2% of GDP.

On February 21, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during his speech to the Federal Assembly, said that Russia's GDP in 2022, according to the latest data, decreased by 2.1%.
