Just by looking at the income statement, you can see at a glance where and how an individual made money.

It is such important personal information, but the Prime Minister's Office is controversial because it is necessary for the audit and asked all employees of the national research institute to submit this income statement.

This is a document sent by the audit officer in the Prime Minister's Office to a national research institute.

Since some employees did not submit the requested data, the audit was being hindered, so I wrote that I should take action and report it.

All 3,800 employees, from the heads of 17 research institutes to the security guards, were asked to submit their income statements, but this happened when some refused.

The reason for gratitude was to check how much money was made outside of lectures.

When the story of disciplinary action came up, I finally submitted the materials one by one.

However, Dr. Kim, a law researcher, reported in advance, but he is still refusing to ask for an income statement as it is unreasonable.

[Dr. Mo Kim / Affiliation of the Korea Legislative Research Institute: I have been constantly guiding you to report your external activities, and I did the report faithfully.

I don't think we would have been able to bring this issue up until now if there was no shame.]

The Prime Minister's Office suggested that it was based on a provision of the law stating that documents could be requested for audit.

However, Mr. Kim insists that the measure ignores the proviso provision of at least the required submission.

[Dr. Mo Kim / Affiliation of the Korea Legislative Research Institute: Submit all personal income documents.

First of all , on the premise of distrusting the employees, I am now making the premise as a potential non-reporter...]

In the end, Mr. Kim was reprimanded at first and then suspended for two months.

Experts judge it to be unreasonable audit and discipline.

Even the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the same government agency, recognizes it as workplace harassment.

[Kim Bo-mi / Attorney specializing in personal information law: It seems that all information that you do not want to be disclosed is made public, so there is a high possibility of violating

the minimum collection principle, which is one of the very important principles for personal information protection.]

He said that the audit that made him submit was legitimate, and that the lawsuit is ongoing.

However, it did not comment on whether or not to continue conducting such audits.
