We often hear it said that "it was better before", and in particular with regard to the dashboard of cars which, more and more, are content to be screens whose logic of use raises questions, to avoid not to say that it sometimes arouses irritation.
Also, the Swedish magazine Vi Bilägare decided to confront a 2005 Volvo V70, whose central console was lined with buttons (it was also a model in which the navigation screen could be retracted into the dashboard) with eleven current cars.
The aim of the game ?
Carry out a series of various operations (activate the heated seats, increase the temperature on board by 2 degrees, activate the defroster, change the radio station, reset the on-board computer and decrease the brightness of the instrument cluster) in all models after learning how they work, and compare the time it takes to get there.
We give you a thousand words: the car in which these operations are carried out the fastest is… the Volvo V70, with an average time of 10 s.
It is closely followed by the Dacia Sandero (13.5 s) and Volvo C40 (13.7 s).
After that, the times become noticeably longer, reaching up to 44.9 s in the MG Marvel R. Nice progress!
