Today (the 21st) is a day with great expectations that Korea may rise to the ranks of the world's seven largest space powers.

The Nuri, developed only with our technology, takes off into space today.

Let's connect to the launch site and listen to the story related to today's launch in more detail.

Reporter Hong Seung-yeon, are the preparations for the launch going smoothly?

<Reporter>

Yes, I am at the Naro Space Center where the Nuri is scheduled to launch.

It is about 3km away from the 2nd launch pad of the Nuriho.

At 6:30 last night, the Nuri-ho completed its last inspection smoothly and is standing on the launch pad.

So far, the scheduled time is 4pm.

The exact time will be announced at around 2:30 at the launch management committee meeting today.

If there are no problems, injection of fuel and oxidizer will start 4 hours before launch.

10 minutes before launch, the Nuri will go into an automatic operation that checks its condition.

The countdown to launch will begin.

They say that the last remaining variable is the weather. How is the weather?

<Reporter>

Yes, there are some clouds here, but there is hardly any wind.

The launch was sometimes delayed due to strong winds a day before the scheduled launch date, but the high-rise winds 10 km above the air that directly affect it are also stable so far.

The anti-accidental agency plans to measure the high winds four more times before launch.

The rainy season was also a factor.

Currently, the rainy season front runs from the southern seas of Jeju to Japan, so it is not likely to affect the Goheung area today.
