After fresh clashes on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem's Old City, an Israeli was fatally injured Friday evening (April 29) at the entrance to a settlement in the West Bank and a Palestinian was killed in clashes with the Israeli army in a nearby village a few hours later.

The tension remains high in these last days of Ramadan.

The attack took place at the entrance to Ariel, the largest Israeli settlement in the West Bank.

Two individuals opened fire on a guard who later succumbed to his injuries.
