The Israeli army carried out early on Monday new incursions into the West Bank after the death of 5 Palestinians shot by its forces as part of its continuous escalation since the launch of the resistance battle of the Al-Aqsa flood on the seventh of last October, while the formation of a unified military council for the resistance in the West Bank was announced.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of martyrs in the cities of the West Bank rose to 5 on Sunday after two young men were killed by Israeli occupation forces at the northern entrance to Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate.

The ministry said that Suleiman Kanaan (17 years old) was killed after being hit by live bullets directly in the heart, while the occupation authorities informed the Palestinian side of the death and detention of the body of the boy Khaled Hamidat (16 years old).

The Israeli military said in a statement that it had fired on two "attackers" who threw an explosive device at a military base near the city of Ramallah.

In a press statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourned the martyrs Khaled Hamidat and Suleiman Kanaan, according to Palestinian media.

In Ein al-Sultan refugee camp in Jericho (eastern West Bank), 16-year-old Luay al-Safi was killed by Israeli gunfire during their raid into the camp under the pretext of pursuing a Palestinian for arresting him.

AFP said Safi had come under fire from Israeli soldiers, although there were no clashes.

In the southern West Bank, two young men, Ahmad and Jalal Jabarin, were killed by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Sa'ir, north of Hebron.

The Israeli military said in a statement that a Palestinian car broke through a military checkpoint near the settlement of Mitzad, and gunmen inside allegedly opened fire on its forces, which retaliated and killed them.

This brings the number of martyrs in the West Bank since the seventh of last October to 352.
