Nissan Motors and Mitsubishi Motors will start production and sales from the middle of this month after taking additional measures for mini vehicles that had been discontinued since December last year because airbags may not perform sufficiently. Announced that it will resume.

For cars that have already been sold, a recall will be reported soon.

The two companies have suspended production and sales of Nissan's "Roox" and Mitsubishi's "eK Space" and "eK Cross Space", which are produced on the same line, from December last year.

This is because when a car collides with a wall, the airbag in the driver's seat may open in a higher direction than expected under certain conditions, and may not perform sufficiently.

According to the announcement on the 4th of both companies, it is confirmed that additional measures can be taken after that to ensure safety, and production and sales will be resumed from the 11th of this month.

In addition, we will report a recall soon to take individual measures for cars that were produced after December and have already been sold.

Nissan Motors and Mitsubishi Motors commented, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to our customers. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience."
