The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to review the subsidy system for buyers starting next fiscal year in order to accelerate the spread of EVs, which is lagging behind China and Europe. The government is encouraging manufacturers to further popularize the system by offering different subsidy amounts for cars with the same driving performance.
