Recently, the Fujian Jinjiang Public Security Bureau successfully cracked a large case of manufacturing and selling counterfeit brand sportswear, seized more than 200,000 counterfeit apparel products, more than 200,000 infringing trademarks, and arrested 12 criminal suspects. The total amount involved was more than 200 million yuan.
In June of this year, the Economic Investigation Brigade of the Jinjiang Public Security Bureau received a report that someone on an online shopping platform sold counterfeit sportswear of well-known domestic brands.
These limited edition, popular and well-known brand clothing not only sell at less than one-tenth of the original price, but also carry out promotional activities such as "seckill" and "full reduction".
The genuine product may cost more than one thousand yuan, while the counterfeit product is only one or two hundred.
After investigation, the police found that the production source, wholesale links, and sales links of these counterfeit garments involved Sichuan, Shandong, Henan and other provinces. They were mass-produced through small workshop assembly lines, and after packaging, they flowed to the market through online shopping platforms and e-commerce.
Although the appearance is similar to the genuine product, there is a big gap in the material and production process.

From October 25th to 26th, the public security organs of Quanzhou and Jinjiang went to Sichuan, Shandong, Henan, Chongqing and other places to carry out network collection operations against the counterfeit-making and selling gang, and crack down on the entire chain from upstream production to downstream sales.
The network collection operation destroyed nearly 30 illegal production, storage, and sales sites, seized more than 200,000 counterfeit apparel products, and more than 200,000 infringing trademarks. The cumulative amount involved was more than 200 million yuan.
At present, the Jinjiang police have arrested relevant criminal suspects in accordance with the law on suspicion of counterfeiting registered trademarks and selling products with counterfeit registered trademarks.
