The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi directed in a circular to the owners and managers of facilities licensed to valet parking, to allow the resumption of their activities in all regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, after the decision to temporarily suspend the activity issued by it within the preventive and precautionary measures issued by the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee due to the repercussions of Covid 19.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development’s circular to resume this activity comes within the framework of the recent circulars it issued for the gradual and precautionary return of economic activities in accordance with conditions, instructions and controls that would prevent the spread of Covid 19 infection among members of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as support companies and private sector institutions for a gradual and sound return to practicing all economic activities And commercial in the emirate.

The department affirmed its keenness to resume the activities of all private sector companies to carry out their business and economic activity in light of the restrictions imposed during the past months, especially the service sector, which is one of the most vital sectors that benefit all members of society and is an important supporter and supporter of the local economy of the emirate.

She indicated that the resumption of valet parking is one of the important services provided by many commercial centers, hotels and resorts, companies, government agencies and others, and it is provided to visitors, tourists and all dealers, reflecting the high level of services provided in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The circular issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development stated that the owners and managers of establishments licensed to service valet parking in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi set a number of sterilization controls, such as hand sanitizers in all public places and places of payment and the need to sterilize hands after each parking operation in addition to regular hand washing by workers.

The circular also stressed the need to encourage valet parking service users to pay online and take into account the spacing distances between workers and visitors at a distance of 2 meters with signs on the ground indicating the necessity of physical spacing and conducting a Covid-19 examination for all employees and measuring their temperatures periodically during the day, and training them to apply precautionary measures And wear masks and gloves at all times and change them periodically during the day, covering the seat and steering wheel during the parking process.

In order to protect the beneficiaries of services in Abu Dhabi, the circular directed that the visitors' temperatures be measured before receiving the description of the car, and not to allow the service to be provided to those with symptoms of Covid 19.
