“The successful completion of the expedition to the UAE will allow us to begin the implementation of an even larger transition - crossing the Arabian Peninsula from east to west from the Persian Gulf through the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Red Sea,” the message states.

The start of Konyukhov and Molchanov’s two-week camel trek through the UAE became known on January 27. It was reported that the caravan would move during daylight hours at a speed of 30-40 km per day.
