The Catholic channel KTO will launch on October 1 a daily direct from the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde in Marseille, she announced Thursday. KTO will offer viewers the opportunity to follow the Office of Lauds at 7:25 a.m., which marks the start of the day, with a mass celebrated in the basilica, from Tuesday to Saturday, and a mass at the same time in this same basilica on Monday.

The channel already broadcasts prayer appointments and masses live at several times during the day, in particular Vespers, at the end of the afternoon, filmed until last year at Notre-Dame de Paris. Since the fire in the Parisian cathedral, they have been captured in Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois, in Paris, via automated cameras.

A basilica known in many countries

This Marseille live broadcast will be broadcast at a time chosen by the channel's audience, especially by people who want to be able to follow mass before going to work, explained at a press conference Philippine de Saint-Pierre, general manager by KTO.

Notre-Dame de la Garde and her Bonne Mère are known in many countries, especially in French-speaking Africa where the channel has a lot of viewers, she argued. KTO, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, is launching this return to other events, including “In debate”, intended for exchanges between believers and non-believers.
