The rate of inflation in consumer prices in the country declined year on year in February by 1.3% compared to January of 2019, so inflation will continue to decline for the fourteenth month in a row
The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority said in its "Inflation February 2020" report issued today that covers the change in the prices of 12 major commodities and services to the consumer that the general index of consumer prices amounted to 107.9 points compared to 109.3 points in February 2019
The report pointed out that the low annual inflation came as a result of the decrease in the prices of 7 main groups, namely, clothing and shoes by 4.7%, housing, water, electricity and gas by 4.6%, various goods and services by 4.2%, and household equipment and equipment by 2.8%.

According to competitiveness and statistics, the prices of 5 other major commodity groups, entertainment and culture, increased by 10.6%, tobacco by 6.4%, transportation by 3.1%, and education by 0.7%.
And food and beverages by 0.5%
The report pointed to a decrease in the inflation rate in the country on a monthly basis in February against last January by 0.3%.
