According to a statement issued yesterday, accordingly, it was decided to close commercial activities in the emirate, provided that it excludes those that may affect the basic needs of the emirate's residents, until the eighth of next April.

At the same time, the decision allows owners of closed facilities to continue to practice e-commerce activities during the closing period.

The Dubai Economic Department allowed stores, supermarkets, cooperatives, groceries, and pharmacies to remain open throughout the day, and throughout the week (24/7), provided that the number of shoppers from these stores does not exceed 30% of its capacity, with the need to maintain divergence The social number of two meters between each customer.

The decision to close applies to the main markets, and all establishments and commercial activities scattered in all the main and subsidiary streets in the emirate, including commercial centers and shopping centers in all parts of the emirate, in addition to the open markets that include the sale of fish, vegetables and meat, with the exception of fish, vegetables and meat markets for wholesale sale And supply.

And the ban will remain based on serving hookahs in all licensed cafes.

The decision to close for two weeks covers: bodybuilding and fitness halls, amusement parks, spring camps, in addition to recreational and electronic games halls, cinemas, men's barbershops, women's beauty, massage and spa centers.

Exceptions are made to bakeries, auto repair shops, workshops, laundries and technical and electrical service providers for buildings.

The decision included the closure of restaurants, cafes, cafeterias and food and beverage service outlets, with exceptions that include restaurants and cafes in hotel establishments that provide meals only to guests, in addition to servicing cars, delivering food, and transporting food.

Customers can receive their orders from restaurant branches, and if the restaurant is inside the mall, coordination with the center’s administration is required to obtain approval to deliver orders directly to customers or inside the cars.

According to the decision, bank and bank branches continue to perform the usual work, unless a regulatory decision is issued by the central bank, as is the case with branches of exchange companies and clinics, where they can all carry out their usual activities, with the need to take the necessary precautionary and preventive measures, including sterilization and spacing Social reception of the public, and organization of the role among clients.

The Dubai Economic Department will carry out inspection campaigns to ensure that all commercial establishments adhere to all the provisions mentioned in the closing circular.

Allow cooperative societies, groceries, and pharmacies to remain open.
