Duan Yong, deputy director of the Personnel Department of the National Health and Health Commission, introduced the current measures and implementation of care for frontline medical workers.
Duan Yong introduced that since the outbreak of the new crown, the majority of medical staff have been fighting at the forefront of fighting the epidemic, protecting the lives of the people with practical actions. General Secretary Xi Jinping specially issued important instructions. Medical personnel are the backbone to overcome the epidemic. We must attach great importance to the protection and care of medical personnel and provide support and guarantee from all aspects. The central government's response to the new crown pneumonia epidemic work group issued a notice, and introduced 10 measures in ten aspects, including compensation and treatment, work injury identification, job title evaluation, life security, rest and recuperation, psychological adjustment, and humanistic care. After the document was issued, local governments responded positively and implemented 10 measures. For example, the introduction of documents, reasonable arrangements for front-line medical staff on rotation, compensatory rest, and readjustment, so that front-line medical staff can get timely rest. Strengthening material security, especially incorporating the distribution of medical protective items into the key content of supervision and inspection, etc., involves all aspects of the 10 measures. So far, more than 20 provinces across the country have issued relevant implementation measures.
Duan Yong said that the next step will continue to promote the implementation of the 10 measures in various places, and do a good job. At the same time, we will also actively promote the establishment of long-term mechanisms for protecting and caring for medical staff in all regions, and create a good atmosphere of respect for doctors and health.
