On the day of the Itaewon disaster, it was belatedly known that many people were injured at a festival in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do.

On the 29th of last month, when the Itaewon disaster occurred, Iksan City held a treasure hunt festival with diamonds and precious metals as prizes.

It was a way of giving out prizes through a lottery if you bring a treasure hunt note.

It was estimated that more than 6,000 people gathered.

The accident occurred when an event organizer threw a treasure hunt note into the air of crowds.

They quickly got tangled up as participants rushed to pick up the notes that had fallen on the floor, and the accident took a woman in her 60s to the hospital with her head injured.

The event participants poured criticisms online, such as 'it's just right for getting hurt' and 'never bring a child because it's dangerous'.

Iksan city officials apologized for the inexperienced operation, but the festival scheduled for the next day was immediately canceled due to the Itaewon disaster.
