  Jinyuan has a history of setting off fireworks on the second day of the second lunar month since ancient times.

"February 2 South Street Fireworks Custom" and "Longtian Temple Fair" were included in the Shanxi Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

As an important part of Kujin Yang culture, the "February 2 South Street Fireworks Custom" has a history of more than 1,000 years.

  Longtian Temple, commonly known as the Temple of King Liu, is dedicated to Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty Liu Heng and Emperor Jing of Han Dynasty Liu Qi.

The "Longtian Temple Fair" is a traditional folk activity held by the villagers of Jinyuan South Street three times in succession in February, July and September of the lunar calendar to worship Liu and his son.

During the temple fair, fireworks are set off, gods are worshipped, businessmen gather, social fire performances are performed, and crowds of people gather.

After thousands of years of changes, the "Longtian Temple Fair" has become a well-known traditional temple fair in Taiyuan.

  Outside the south gate of the ancient county town of Taiyuan, the 12-story old fire frame symbolizes the progress of the month, the rise, and the prosperity. It sends the "blue dragon to the sky" to pray for good weather, good harvests, and peace and prosperity for the country and the people.
