A total of eight people were working at the time, and three of them were said to have escaped the fall.

Workers were defecated while pouring concrete for pouring on the fourth floor.

Based on eyewitness statements, the police believe that the accident occurred before they had finished pouring out all of the concrete scheduled for the day.

After the accident, three people were taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest, of which two Chinese men in their 30s died and one Chinese woman in their 30s was unconscious.

In addition to the cardiac arrest patient, another injured man, a Uzbek man in his 40s and a Chinese man in his 50s, is receiving hospital treatment for injuries such as head trauma and multiple rib fractures, respectively.

After receiving the report, the fire department mobilized 21 equipment such as ambulances and 56 firefighters to transport the injured to three hospitals, and took safety measures at the site.

The site of the accident was devastated by crumbling formwork and spilled cement.

The Anseong Police Station plans to make criminal charges against the on-site director and others on charges of negligent manslaughter.

A police official said, "In the process of pouring concrete, the support seems to have collapsed because it could not withstand the weight."

The police will check the working procedures and compliance with safety rules.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor dispatches a labor inspector to the site to check whether the construction is in accordance with the design drawings, etc.

In addition, we are investigating whether there is any violation of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, such as compliance with the standards for initial curing of concrete (maintaining adequate moisture until concrete is completely hardened and protecting it from shock or freezing).

The new construction building, where the accident occurred, has a total floor area of about 27,000 square meters on the first basement floor and five floors above ground. Construction began in August last year and was scheduled to be completed in February next year.
