It was in the middle of the third period in the match between Oskarshamn and Skellefteå that Juuso Riikola handed out an unfair tackle.

Skellefteå's 17-year-old junior Zeb Forsfjäll had the puck, and Oskarshamn's Riikola, with several NHL seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, came from the side and tackled him in the head.

Now he is reported to the disciplinary board.

“He gives out a bad tackle with the stick in both hands and he doesn't play to the puck.

The tackle hits the face/head of Forsfjäll, who cannot defend himself against the tackle," SHL writes on its website.

The Växjö forward also reported

In the match against HV71, Växjö's Martin Lundberg tackled a puck carrier Tyler Vesel who fell to the ice, but then got up quickly.

"Lundberg tackles Vesel with force in the head and hits Vesel's right shoulder," the SHL writes on its website.

Both cases will be dealt with by the disciplinary committee during the day.
