Rune to the semifinals in the Stockholm Open: "He is so strong in the skull"

The meeting between Cameron Norrie and Holger Rune was an even story.

After the players lost their serve on each occasion in the first set, the second-seeded Briton was finally able to win it in the tiebreak (7–4).

However, Rune did not give up and took over the baton in the second set, which he won 6–3.

The decisive set developed into a thriller, but at 4–3 Rune managed to break Norrie's serve and then went out and served home the match.

- I told myself to be brave and take my chances when I got them because against such good players you don't get anything for free, says Rune to SVT Sport.

- I had lost to him three times before so I knew it would be difficult.

I am super happy that I managed to stay focused and continued to believe in my game, says Rune.

In the semifinals, he will face Australian Alex de Minaur, who earlier today defeated last year's finalist Denis Shapovalov, Canada, in two straight sets, 6–2, 7–6.
