Astonishing images were released from the match between Malmö FF and Union Berlin in the Europa League at the beginning of October.

Pyrotechnic pieces were thrown between the stands, down towards the pitch and at the same time several heavy firecrackers were set off in the arena.

The match was suspended and later resumed.

Now Uefa announces that both teams will be punished after the scenes.

Malmö must pay roughly SEK 825,000 in fines, while Union Berlin must pay roughly SEK 386,000 and cannot sell tickets to away supporters at their next UEFA competition match.

Malmö lost the match against Union Berlin and is eliminated in the Europa League, but has two games left in the group stage.
