Qatar Sports Investments Company announced that it has acquired 21.67% of the capital in Sporting Braga, a Portuguese club.
The acquisition of Sporting Braga shares by Qatar Sports Investments Company (an investment group behind many leading sports brands and companies in the world) will be completed within the next few months under certain terms of completion.
Sporting Braga was founded in 1921, and has a rich history and heritage within Portugal, and the men's and women's teams compete in the first division of Portuguese football.
The men's team has been in the Portuguese league since 1975 and usually finishes its seasons in one of the top four, and is currently third in the league standings. The club's youth academy has also developed into one of the leading academies in Portugal.
