Sweden plays two international matches this week in the EHF Euro Cup, first away against Germany and then at home in Scandinavium on Sunday against Germany.

But they have to do without Andreas Palicka, who is withdrawing due to injury.

- It feels incredibly sad because I was looking forward to this week with the team and the two games that await.

Unfortunately, I don't get to save any balls this week, but hope to be back in training next week, says Palicka in a press release.

He is replaced by Peter Johannesson, Bergischer HC, who won the EC gold with Sweden last winter.

Palicka is the second goalkeeper break in a short time.

Mikael Appelgren was supposed to make a national team comeback after almost three years, but was forced to withdraw his offer last week due to injury.
