Double Grand Slam winner Halep has been plagued by nasal problems where breathing has been difficult.

The tight match program has meant that time was lacking - until now.

"I couldn't do it before because I could never find the necessary three months for recovery as tennis has always been the first priority in my life," writes Halep, explaining that she wanted to do something for herself as a person.

"It means that I also wanted to do the aesthetic part that I wanted to do for a long time because I have not liked my nose at all," writes Halep.

Halep declares the 2022 season over and is now focusing on next year.

This causes her to give up the WTA playoffs at the turn of October/November.

"I still have a lot to do and still have goals to achieve."

30-year-old Halep is ranked ninth in the world and has earned SEK 430 million in prize money alone.
