Murder during a football match in Syria
A young man died as a result of a dispute between a group of young men while attending a football match in Syria, after the young man was hit in the head with a wooden stick by his companions in the stands of the match stadium that took place in Jaramana, rural Damascus.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated, through its official account on the social networking site "Facebook", that members of the Criminal Security Branch in Damascus countryside arrested the perpetrators of the crime.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior said: "The perpetrators (Abdullah Sh.) and his partner (Muhannad.H) were arrested after being lured from Deir Al-Zour to the Al-Zahera neighborhood in Damascus, and it was found that the reason for their murder of the slain (Hossam.A.) was a dispute over playing football. The foot, where Muhannad caught the victim and allowed Abdullah to hit him on the head, before he disappeared from view by heading to Deir ez-Zor.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that investigations are still ongoing, and that the accused will be brought to the competent judiciary.
