The program left the impression of incompleteness, since the athlete did without the signature triple axel and without the cascade.

Another ward of Mishin, Mikhail Kolyada, left last year's short program "The Nutcracker" for the upcoming season, and in the free program he rolls "Tango in a Madhouse" to the music of Alfred Schnittke.

The production of an unusual number, where the skater portrays a mentally unhealthy person, was also Averbukh.

“Schnittke is great in music, and Kolyada is great in figure skating,” Mishin commented on the choice of composition.

He also admitted that the program has a strong choreographic component, which the athlete has yet to work on.

“Today he didn’t do it the way he would like.

But it's a very difficult genre.

We had Russian, Austrian, Japanese, African dances, there were dances of the blind and dances on one leg.

But to show with dignity the dance of a person with a clouded mind is a very difficult task.

Dmitry Aliev demonstrated only a short set to the famous song "I will always love you", but performed not by Whitney Houston, but by Chase Holfelder.

“He does a lot of productions for TV programs.

This is one small dance for a minute and a half, and we included it in the program,” Aliyev shared.

He also noted that the presentation of the free program is planned just at the review of the national team, which will be held on September 24-25 in Moscow.

There, the audience will also see new performances by their comrades in the training group - Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky.

The athletes missed the skates in St. Petersburg, as the partner is recovering from a microtrauma.

According to Tamara Moskvina, she would like to see both of her couples in the new season in a completely different style than the one everyone is used to.
