At the Etihad Stadium, top scorer Erling Haaland performed a remarkable performance and scored a hat-trick that gave Manchester City a 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace surprisingly advanced with two goals in the first half through John Stones (against his own net) and Joachim Andersen, and in the second half, Manchester City rose up first through Portuguese Bernardo Silva before Halland scored a hat-trick, his first this season, and raised his score to 6 goals solo. The English Premier League top scorer so far.

And Manchester City - the defending champion - raised its score to 10 points in the lead temporarily, and Arsenal could regain the lead if it beat Fulham at a later time.

Manchester United opened the fourth stage of the matches by defeating Southampton with a single goal scored by Bruno Fernandes in the second half.

United put an end to its loss in seven consecutive away matches since last season and moved to sixth place temporarily from four games.
