France is seen as one of the big favorites to win the European Championships in England.

And in the premiere match against Italy, the French team impressed a lot.

France got off to a dream start to the match.

After eight minutes of play, the ball was donated after a weak clearance by the Italian defense.

The ball ended up with Grace Geyoro who could put 1-0.

Three minutes later, France struck again and increased to 2-0 through Marie-Antoinette Katoto.

Hattrick by Geyoro

But France was not content there and played Italy.

In the 38th minute came the most beautiful goal of the match.

Delphine Cascarino pulled from a long distance and extended the lead with a real dream goal to 3-0.

Shortly afterwards, the next goal came.

Geyoro ran free and tricked the Italian goalkeeper and was then able to roll in 4-0 in an open goal.

But Geyoro and France would strike again before the break.

After a post from Toletti, the PSG player pushed in 5-0 to France.

In the second half, Italy's team captain became Sara Gama and was first sent off after a tough tackle.

But the VAR room examined the situation and acquitted Gama, who was allowed to continue playing.

At the end of the match, Italy scored a consolation goal when Martina Piemonte nodded in the final result 5-1.
