During his years as national team captain for the Swedish women's national team, Per Johansson led them to their first ever championship medal ever when they won silver at the European Championships in 2010 in Norway and Denmark.

Two years later, after a failed Olympics with five straight losses, he chose to break his contract.

Since then, he has, among other things, managed to lead the Romanian top team CSM Bucharest and Montenegro's national team.

At the moment, Johansson is coaching the Russian big club Rostov-Don, but now there is information from Aftonbladet that claims that the 51-year-old's next assignment will be the Dutch women's national team.

He takes over from Monique Tijstersman, who is allowed to leave his post after only six months.
