Kim, the women's curling team, lost to powerhouse Canada in the first match of the Beijing Olympics.



Team Kim, led by Pyeongchang Olympic silver medalist Eun-jung Kim Skip, faced strong Canada 6-6 in the first round of the women's curling qualifier held at the Beijing National Aquatic Center in the 6th end. The counterattack was unsuccessful, only to score points.



In the final 10 end, which was led 10-7, Tim Kim was not able to make use of a back-up chance and was stolen by Canada by two points, kneeling 12-7.



Canada won their first victory in Sochi 2014, when gold medalist Jennifer Jones skipped and skillfully led the team.
