The Egyptian national team leaves for Cameroon to participate in the African Cup with a list of 26 players

 The Egyptian national football team left Cairo, today, Saturday, on its way to the Cameroonian city of Garoua, to participate in the finals of the African Nations Cup, which is scheduled to start tomorrow, Sunday.

The Egyptian team will start its campaign in the tournament by meeting its Nigerian counterpart, next Tuesday, in Group D.

The mission is headed by the President of the Egyptian Football Association, Gamal Allam, accompanied by Major General Mohamed Helmy Mashhour, a member of the Board of Directors, in addition to the technical staff led by Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz.

The mission includes 26 players, after Marwan Hamdi joined from the reserve list and Marwan Daoud, who was chosen as a replacement for the injured Mohamed Hamdi, and the procedures for replacing him in the list submitted to the Confederation of African Football (K) are being completed.

The mission is expected to arrive in the city of Garoua this evening, and its members will undergo a medical examination upon arrival, and then head directly to the mission's residence to resume the preparation program for the first match.

The Egyptian team will start its training in Cameroon starting tomorrow, Sunday, and the mission will remain in the city of Garoua after the Nigeria match to meet the Guinea-Bissau team, next Saturday, in the second round of group matches, after which it will move to the capital Yaounde to meet the Sudan team on January 15th.

The Egyptian team had conducted an additional smear yesterday evening, Friday, for all members of the mission, and all results were negative.
