No World Cup competition in cross-country skiing but the Scandinavian Cup in Falun where several Swedish Olympic skiers participated.

And it went best for a certain 21-year-old.

William Poromaa has not had the best start to the season, but today it was right on track.

Poromaa finished in the time 40.52.1 and the tough training period turned out to have paid off.

- It felt good, I got a tough opening but after the lap it felt surprisingly easy.

The body felt alert, says William Poromaa to Expressen.

- I myself am surprised that it is going so fast now, the 21-year-old continues.

Another Olympic skier who showed good form is Johan Häggström, who finished in third place.

Just over 25 seconds after Poromaa.

"Important with better information"

And before the competition, national team manager Anders Byström wanted to see Poromaa and Häggström deliver.

- It is important to have a better message from Häggström and Poromaa today.

There is tough opposition from Norway today, Byström said before the competition.

Another Olympic skier, Leo Johansson, finished in fourth place.
