Borussia Dortmund has taken advantage of the slip up by Bayern Munich's emergency team and draws hope again in the fight for the title after a furious race to catch up.

After the messed up first half of the season, BVB won at Eintracht Frankfurt after a 2-0 deficit with 3-2 (0-2).

The deficit on the corona plagued Bayern melted after their 1: 2 against Borussia Mönchengladbach to six points.

Thorgan Hazard (71st), Jude Bellingham (87th) and Mahmoud Dahoud (89th) ensured Dortmund's first victory at the SGE since September 2013. The Frankfurters, who had previously celebrated six wins in seven games, brought the lead through the two goals by Rafael Borré (15./24.) not over time.

Due to the disappointing first half of the season, Rose had asked his players with “charisma” and “attitude” before the game.

That worked at first - if only for a quarter of an hour.

The guests started with a lot of steam and tightened the Eintracht with a quick passing game.

A shot from Thomas Meunier (2nd) was directed with great effort by Kevin Trapp to the post, the Frankfurt goalkeeper had no problems with Erling Haaland (4th).

The SGE, which had to do without Djibril Sow at short notice after an ambiguous corona test, was only rarely able to free itself in the initial phase due to many bad passes - the Dortmund shock was all the greater when Borré took the lead after a free kick with the first shot on the guest goal met.

The goal gave the now more determined Frankfurters a visibly playful boost, while at Dortmund the plug was completely pulled.

Borré used the total disorientation of the BVB defense and a mistake by Marco Reus ice cold to 2-0, Evan Ndicka (29th) hit the post just five minutes later.

Rose cheered on his insecure players loudly, but for a long time they couldn't think of anything to restart the offensive to Torgigant Haaland.

It was only after a corner kick shortly before the break that Trapp had to save brilliantly against Mats Hummels (45th + 1), Donyell Malen's margin hit the post.

After the break, Dortmund were able to thank their goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, who saved a lot against the free Jesper Lindström (47th).

The hosts seemed more imaginative and lively and initially managed the lead cleverly.

As the second half increased, Frankfurt left BVB more of the game.

Haalands shot one meter wide of the goal (62nd), the substitute Hazard made it better a little later.

The harmony became more and more passive - Bellingham punished it with his third goal of the season and Dahoud with the acclaimed winning goal.
