Hoffenheim defender John Anthony Brooks has played 249 Bundesliga games in his career and has now seen his first red card.

In Hoffenheim's 1:3 (1:1) defeat in Frankfurt, Brooks scored the first goal of the game with a header after a corner (6th minute).

Then he was too slow in a duel with Omar Marmoush as the last field player and hit the Eintracht player's legs instead of the ball. He was shown a red card for the emergency stop (22nd).

Frankfurt took advantage of the early advantage before the break: Eintracht defender Robin Koch was successful from around twelve meters following a corner situation.

Later, Mario Götze hit the post while standing free in front of the goal, but Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, who provided the assist, had previously been offside (45th + 2).

After the break, Eintracht turned the game around: This time it was Götze who provided the assist with a soulful ball, Dina Ebimbe then headed powerfully into the Hoffenheim goal – 2-1 (50th).

It was the midfielder's fourth goal this season.

Götze made the decision in the 64th minute.

After a through pass from Niels Nkounkou, Ansgar Knauff returned the ball from the baseline.

Götze then scored from the backcourt in the bottom right to make it 3-1 for Frankfurt.

Hoffenheim's Ozan Kabak saw yellow-red in the final phase (78').
